Filing Car Insurance Claims - April 14, 2008
1. Understand your policy before anything happens – read carefully your insurance policy and contact your provider for clarification.
2. When an accident happens, make sure everyone is okay and check if anyone needs medical attention. Even minor injuries may need to be seen by your doctor.
3. When you are in an accident, be sure to ask and give out information to the other driver – name, address, phone number, insurance details. If there are witnesses, it is best to get contact information in case you’ll need to present an account of the accident.
