Lady Drivers - March 15, 2008
Women drivers are seen as less chancy drivers than men. They are involved in almost the same number of accidents but the damage they cause is not as great in most cases. Their requests for payment are less, on average, their insurance payments are about 30% lower than that of men in similar profile. They drive at lower speeds therefore accidents are not that serious, so even if they make claims as often as men do, it would still be at a lesser amount, resulting to lesser premiums. Lower premiums may mean smaller profit, but getting more women to insure with your company means more business.
